What is the
Clearance Corner?
Our Clearance Corner is where we offer terrific savings on selected merchandise, most of which is under the umbrella of “teaching supplies.” Occasionally we over-buy or just buy something that’s a real dog! (Ruff!) Those items may eventually find their way to the closet. Along with that, some of our vendors send us a “discontinued” list in January along with flyers full of bright new product. We voluntarily place some or all of the discontinued product on clearance to make room for the new. Your savings on these items are 40% or more.
Discontinued Playmobil, Thomas and many other
items are located within their respective displays and carry an green (30% off), hot pink (50% off)
or dark blue (75% off) smiley sticker near the price tag. These too are a voluntary clearance to make room for the new!!!
Please note that all sales are final on any clearance item!

Can I buy Gift Certificates?
Gift Certificates are always a welcomed gift for your favorite teacher, parent-to-be, or that got-everything-ever-made child. (Don’t worry – we’ve always got something new!) Gift Certificates are sold in any denomination, with no expiration date.
Please note – no Gift Certificate purchase (neither buying nor redeeming) will be marked on your
Frequent Buyers Card.

Do you offer Gift Registry?
We’ve always offered you the option of registering your child’s wish list, but as a teacher have you ever thought about making a list of classroom supplies or games you’d like to have? We constantly have students & parents in shopping for their favorite teacher. If you’d rather skip the mug this year, leave your wish list with us and if one of your student’s comes in, we’ll steer them clear of the mugs!!!
We also think gift registry is a super idea for expectant parents! Start this child’s life with some wonderful toys or even some parent resources!

Do you offer free Gift Wrapping?
Yep! We offer free gift-wrap! We try to remember to ask you if you need your purchase wrapped, but occasionally we forget. Please don’t be shy – ASK!!! We are more than happy to wrap that for you. No minimum purchases required…just don’t bring it in with you, know what I mean??? We specialize in last-minute-on-the-way-to-the-party gifts. And if you already know what you want to give, call ahead and we’ll have it wrapped and ready to go when you arrive! Could this be any easier???

Do you offer Lamination services?
We offer on-site laminating. We use heavy weight (3ml) laminating film and can laminate up to 24” wide (maybe a smidge bigger, but you need to make sure it’s sealed on the sides.) The charge for this is
1.00/linear ft. Laminator is not always on (it eats soooo much electricity) so advance warning is helpful.
Please note – make sure that any document generated from your computer is at least 24 hrs old (or older) before laminating to reduce the risk of smearing in this process. We also cannot be responsible for items containing crayon or decorative glues. Although we’ve had a good percentage of success with these, there’s always that one time...

What is your return policy?
Believe it or not, returns are rare at our shop (we have so many happy customers!) But should you need to return something, here’s the deal:

We will gladly issue a refund on merchandise returned WITHIN 30 DAYS WITH STORE RECEIPT. -
No cash refunds on credit card purchases

An exchange or store credit will be issued AFTER 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE WITH STORE RECEIPT. -
Returns WITHOUT a receipt are at our discretion and will NOT be credited at full retail price

NO!!! A resounding NO! We have over 200 vendors and thousands of items in stock. We try to feature some of our best, newest or most unusual items here. Contact us by e-mail or phone (724-282-1173) with any of your requests. We’ll do our best to help you or steer you in the right direction.

Do you have a catalog?
We do offer a “stock” catalog. It’s printed by a company that also stocks all the items pictured in it. It’s the top sellers of a lot of educational companies. We can special order every item in there if we don’t already have it in-stock. HOWEVER, it’s not everything we have, nor everything we have access to. Games like Equations and Linguishtiks are in stock and very popular in our local schools, but you will not find them pictured in this book. Please ask if you don’t see what you need.
You should also know that our catalog is an educational resource, therefore most of our “toys" are not included in this book. The catalog also does not address any of the Christian education materials that we carry.

Were you once a teacher?
Speaking for myself (Carol), yes…well, actually Elementary Librarian. My career as such was short-lived but spread over many years (loooong boring story) during which I also worked as a bookstore manager, mother of 4 children, school volunteer (card-carrying-stop-me-if-I-say-yes-once-again volunteer!) and even daycare worker. In many ways, I’m still retrieving information, just on a different level. But, like the e-mail that keeps circulating says, I have to believe that I’m squarely where I’m supposed to be right now.
The rest of our staff has experience in teaching or as a parent (also a very important teaching job!)
